You can check in at the Boat Launch up to two (2) hours in advance of the movie start, which is intended to begin at dark. The viewing zone will be open 40 minutes prior to show time.
Your printed ticket or confirmation email will gain you entrance into the movie. Proof of registration is required, and registrants must agree to the terms described on this page and within the liability release form. This information will be available in print at the check-in table.
All ticket holders are required to sign the liability release form - available at the check-in table.
State Park gate entry fees still apply.
We encourage you to come early, and check out the Park! Rent a cabin, campsite, paddleboat, rowboat, walk/run/bike/hike miles of trails, go fishing, or consider many other activities readily available at Shakamak State Park!
Emergency response crews will be on site during the entire movie.
Tubes will be available to rent when you reserve your movie ticket, or you can bring your own single person tube. We reserve the right to deny any flotation device or life vest which is deemed unsafe.
U.S. Coast Guard approved life vests are required before you can get in the water and must be worn throughout the movie. Life jackets will be available to all and at no charge.
Floating coolers, alcohol, and cigarettes are prohibited.
Concessions will be available for purchase at the event.
Viewing from boats or kayaks is permitted, but participants will be required to stay outside of the roped-in safety area where tubers are floating. Engines must be off at least 10 minutes prior to and throughout the movie.
Participants may not be allowed to leave the water during the movie except for a medical emergency.
The movie will play barring lightning or high winds.
Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult (parent or legal guardian).
